We contacted Plumbers Near Me because we had an urgent plumbing issue and arranged for a plumber to come between 14:30 and 15:00. By 15:00, nobody had arrived and we had received no communication to say that they were running late. I contacted them myself and was then told that the plumber was delayed and would only arrive within the next 40 minutes. I explained that I had other commitments and had specifically arranged my afternoon around their confirmed time. Despite waiting even longer, the plumber still did not arrive. When I followed up again to ask whether he was actually still coming, my message was ignored. I completely understand that previous jobs can take longer than expected, but then the customer should be informed before the agreed appointment time, particularly when you know the call-out is urgent. Leaving a customer waiting, repeatedly moving the expected arrival time, and then ignoring their follow-up is simply not acceptable. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend this company if you need someone reliable or have an urgent plumbing problem.

I really don’t like complaining, and I’ve just been pushed to my end with this situation. I also don’t expect perfection, but I do expect people to take pride in their work. If this is what they are proud to hand over to a customer or client, I am honestly shocked. I am extremely disappointed with this company and regret ever using them. The booking process was smooth, which gave me high hopes. But what was supposed to be a small maintenance job — tightening a few taps and replacing one toilet tap — turned into a nightmare. Even though the issue seemed minor, I was told that things couldn’t be fixed and had to be replaced. I trusted their advice, allowed the work to be done, and then paid the price. A few days later, when I turned the tap on, it made a terrible knocking vibration noise. I phoned the company, showed them a video, and they agreed to send the plumber out. The plumber came when I wasn’t home and left a note saying that the pressure valve and something else now needed to be replaced. When I phoned to ask about it, I was told it wasn’t the plumber’s fault, that these things can happen, and that even if I asked my dad, he would say the same — that when taps and plumbing are replaced, buildup in the pipes can move and damage the valve. What bugged me the most is that they avoided accountability and could not explain to me why the other taps were not making a noise, only the new taps, or why it wasn’t affecting any of the other taps, only the new ones. The tap then stopped making the noise somehow after they had come and touched something. Now it seems to be okay. I told them it looked fine for now, and we left it there. A couple of days later, I discovered the other basin that had been taken off in another part of the house — basically the second basin that was replaced. The taps there also seemed to be poorly installed, because there were already problems with them. On top of that, the basins were left with broken tiles put back in place, messy silicone, and shoddy workmanship. If the guys had told me the tiles broke when they did it, I would have been okay with the situation. But instead, they hid it and simply covered it up. When I phoned to complain, the company’s attitude was blasé once again. On that call, I said the workmanship was horrendous, and I was told I must use nicer words when the plumber comes, that I can’t say “horrendous.” But that is how I truly felt. Why must I sugarcoat poor workmanship when I’ve paid a significant amount of money? The guys came back again today, tell me they sorted the basin and taps out but they are still not okay. I really regret asking for them to do the job because I feel like Im going crazy as the problems before were nothing near what I have now. The taps themselves really don’t seem to replace the value of the taps that were already in. It just seems that these taps are problematic, whether it’s the way they were installed or the taps themselves. I don’t understand how all four taps can be a problem — and in two different parts of the house, with two separate geysers and two separate valves that would supposedly need to be replaced. It concerns me because none of the other taps in my house have issues — only the new taps. In the end, I’ve now had to call my trusted plumber — the one I should have used from the start — to fix their mess. I normally have to wait for my plumber, but now I understand why: quality takes time, and I should have just been patient instead of trying to give someone else a chance. This company has cost me money, time, and frustration. The workmanship, the attitude, and the lack of accountability are absolutely disgusting. I cannot recommend them to anyone.

The communication was very good and their responses on the line were very fast. Steven/Stephan was very polite and the actual plumber that came to the house was polite and knowledgeable. They also did the evaluation without a callout fee, which was really useful. I only took away a star because I had to shift the appointment because of car problems. Such a disappointment and a waste of time/effort. A real pity. If, like me, you read the reviews for this company and thought "wow that sounds positive", or you spoke to their very friendly/professional support team and thought "finally someone I can trust". I'd feel remiss not to share my own experience in the hopes of saving you alot of trouble. Its a long story so I'm going to bullet point it to save you having to read a novel: 1. Request a call-out for the coming Friday. Company confirms and says a representative will call on Friday to confirm time. 2. Friday comes and they call to confirm 1pm time (note that this is the only call I receive from them ever). 1pm comes around and nobody arrives. Call them back later in the afternoon to query. The mention they have no record of a call-out request (huh? but you called me to confirm). They apologies and say their plumber will call later to arrange time. 3. No call is received, but plumber rocks up unannounced (strange but I need to leak fixed so fine). Plumber glances at problem and quotes two separate options. I say "great I just need an official quotation so I can pass options onto the building owner to confirm/approve" (we're renting). They say its busy today but they will WhatsApp it to me on Monday latest. 4. Monday comes no quotation. 5. Call again to query. They apologies and say they will send tomorrow. Again no quotation. This pattern carries on for a FULL WEEK. The support staff (Donavan) is profusely apologetic but claims he doesn't have the ability to issue quotation but promises that the manager will send it first thing the next day and call personally to apologize. And guess what; multiple days later still nothing. I've worked customer support so I fully understand how things can get busy/manic. But conversely I can also tell when support team is not being supported by management and this reeks of it. Over a week to send a quotation?! And no messages from them in-between (I have to keep calling to check) despite you confirming my correct contact details on file?! No guys. Save yourself the head-ache and avoid them. Edit (16/09/25): Owner claims to have attempted to call on Monday. My call log does not support this. I have still not received any WhatsApp, or email or any other contact of any kind from the company in regards to the quotation. Not that I mind at this stage (obviously not following through with service), nor does it seem they do.

Extremely disappointing experience with Plumbers nearby me (aka Plumbanator) . Not only were their services overpriced, but they also failed to complete the initial toilet repair and then tried to shift the blame onto me as I failed to identify the leak. When I called them back to finish the job, that they left incomplete, I had to listen to Steven and the subcontractor argue whether or not they can extort more money out of me. To make matters worse, when I expressed my frustration, I was told that I was not allowed to use the word “disappointed” and that they didn’t care about my business because according to Steven “they have enough clients.” The attitude was shockingly rude and unprofessional. I cannot recommend them based on how poorly I was treated and how unwilling they were to take responsibility for their own work.

The zink connection was leaking after they connected it. I messaged them. They could only come out 3 days later. They said it was fixed. Again 3 days later I messaged them to tell them the connection is still leaking. That was 30 July, and no one has come out and the connection is still dripping. I now need to get someone else to help with the dripping connection.

Great service I had a leaking toilet and mildew smell coming from the bathroom. I called them and they did a free call out. They let me know the name of the plumber they were sending to assess the problem. Steven the consultant (on the phone) and MJ the plumber explained everything to me gave the price and fixed it same day. The plumber MJ explained what needed fixed and how he was going to fix it. He double checked everything before he left to ensure that the problem was fixed. Now no leaking toilet and no more smell.
